Globally there have been an increasing number of adults who develop health conditions. The case is the same when it comes to children because they develop the same mental health conditions as those in adults; though they have different symptoms (Cook, Spinazzola, Ford, Lanktree, Blaustein, Cloitre, Mallah, 2017) . These symptoms are hard to identify and it, therefore, becomes difficult for parents to identify their children’s mental conditions. Consequently, many children who in one way or the other would benefit from treatment provided by programs do not get the assistance needed (Bassuk, Richard, Tsertsvadze, 2015)

Typically, it is very difficult for parents and guardians to identify when a child has a mental health issue. This is because many adults do not understand the signs and symptoms of these health conditions in kids. Besides, the use of certain medications as well as concerns about stigmatization associated with mental illness can also prevent parents from getting assistance for a child suspected to have this mental problem. It is very important for parents to; therefore, understand the symptoms of mental illness this age. Through cognitive play therapy, parents can help children from having difficulties and overcome difficulties if any and help children grow and develop (Cook, Spinazzola, Ford, Lanktree, Blaustein, Cloitre, Mallah, 2017) . Cognitive behavior plays therapy CBT is generally based on the fact that what one thinks affects how they feel and what to do (O'Connor, 2015) . Through this program, there has been a successful help both to adults, adolescents, and children. Evidently, from a literature review by Rapee and Hudson in 2009, it is clear that cognitive behavior therapy is one of the most effective treatments for anxiety in kids between 8-11 years.

Brief Description of the Study

The aim and focus of the study are to identify the significance of the cognitive behavior therapy program to mentally ill children. Surveys and statistics of every mental condition experienced by kids will be presented to the parents of kids who are a sample in this research (Dobson, Dobson, 2016) . Survey questions will include whether parents understand the symptoms of mental illness in kids, does there have any treatment of this condition and also they will be asked the most common disorders that children under this age blanket are prone to. Additionally, guardians will be asked whether CBT is helpful or not and also give their feelings about the whole program (O'Connor, 2015)

Research Question(s) and Hypothesis(s)

From the study, it will be possible to identify the importance and the percentage of children who benefit from CBT program. Additionally, parents will also be able to understand the most common disorders in children as well as their symptoms.

Research questions

1. Since the beginning of the Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy Group, do children in the Multi-Needs Program display a positive or negative change in targeted behavioral symptoms?

2. Since the beginning of the Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy group, do staff and clinicians believe the Multi-Needs program has met the required treatment goals?

Hypotheses

1. Children in the Multi-Needs Program will see a positive increase in behavioral symptoms.

2. Staff and clinicians will believe the Multi-Needs Program has met the required treatment goals.

Significance of the Study

Evidently, it is expected that there still be children affected by mental health illness. It is therefore important to have these play therapies that would help the children express their feelings. Through this plays, for example, cognitive behavior play therapy, it is possible for a parent to understand the symptoms of the most common mental conditions such as anxiety disorder, attention –deficit and hyperactivity disorder ADHD and eating disorder among other mental health conditions (O'Connor, 2015) . Through the programs also, it will be possible for parents to identify the mood changes, behavior changes, difficulty in concentrating and an intense feeling among others which are some of the warning signs of mental illness in children (Dobson, Dobson, 2016) . CBPT generally, can help kids who are aggressive to learn new methods of coping with the situation. For example, using pets and various situations that cause aggression in children help in identifying other forms of acting in kids. Cognitive behavior play therapy is also important because it is used in process children aggression; show new skills offer an opportunity for discussion and work through the problem that a specific kid is going through.
