Particularly, the culture of sound student behavior is of utmost importance. Another worthwhile culture is that of creating effective rules and consequences (Teach for America, 2011). Rules are imperative in a classroom setting. Sometimes, rules draw the line between sanity and insanity. In this culture, it is the work of the teacher to determine the rules and consequences, sensitize the students concerning them and consistently implement them impartially. Doing this ensures the culture of rules, and subsequently, discipline is promoted ultimately ensuring the smooth running of a classroom.
