My virtual child stimulation program was an interactive simulation, which gave me the chance to be a parent as I raised my own child named Savella. With all that I have to learn from my virtual child program, I gained an insight into the complexity of rising as well as guiding a child. I never knew that mere decisions made during infancy could end up affecting a child emotionally, physically and cognitively in the end. It is clear to me now that to make a critical developmental decision is not only a challenge but also one of the most difficult parental experiences. However, through the help of these special decisions, which I made in relation to particular scenarios, I was successful in raising my child from birth to early childhood.
I never I understood that deciding for oneself as opposed to ones infant is quite a challenge until I got my virtual baby. Even though this program was as realistic as possible, I can clearly say that the majority of the class does not understand all the parenting technicalities maximally. In term of physical as well as motor development, I can say Savella was above average as compared to other children at her age. It never had difficulties in getting her to eat. In fact, I can say I had an easy time with her since once her bedtime routine was set and established for her, she never had any troubles of sleeping. She was very adaptive to the situation and the environment around her. However, when there is tension, and she is upset, it becomes hard for everyone because she becomes erratic and unpredictable. Sometimes she would embrace to be sooth or even dislike the idea of being soothed and push you away. Challenges of being a parent.

For Savella’s emotional being, it was reported in the report card that my scored as a parent was on the average range of warm and affectionate. Savella had a strong attachment to her parent and family at large she demonstrated a secure attachment at an early age. The first time she was taken to the school environment she immediately connected with the rest of the children, which was somehow odd for a person her age. She demonstrated a strong relationship as well as social skills, and by the time she was in school, she had a connection with almost everyone. She warmed and affectionate behavior was marked with the fact that she made eye contact, smiled at people and vocalized.
Savella has developed advance in her gross and fine motor skills since she enjoys manipulating an object, crawling and pulling up to stand. This is some of the skills a child of her age should have developed while preparing to start walking at the 11 th month of age. At age four years and ten months, she was enrolled at the kindergarten. As far a kindergarten goes Savella was pretty well rounded since she scored below average at the vocabulary tests, she had perfect skills in counting, classifying as well as identifying quantitative relationships. In term of discipline, my score as a parent in the questionnaire was just above average. This means that I might have been a little bit harsh on her in term of school. It is clear from these scores I was emulating my parent who was not easy on me too.
In conclusion, I was disappointed that I did not get to guide my virtual child to maturity and later stages of life. Despite this late down, I was pleased with Savella's development, and I was happy to understand that as much as this parenting issue was a challenge I managed to make the right decision for her. I do not have any regret for any decision I made for my virtual daughter and am a happy parent for the way she turned out.
