A lot of debate has been heard of in the recent past on whether it is possible for there to be a drug that "magically" makes one smarter. Well, it is possible that in the future a drug like that will be present in the market given the rate at which psychologists can manipulate the activity of neurons and make them react more faster than the rate at which they typically react. It is just a matter of ensuring that its components can stimulate the brain to certain levels. One of the major neurotransmitters that could be used in such a drink is dopamine. Over time, dopamine has been found to have a significant influence on the brain and the way it operates (Burns, 2012). Endorphin could also be one of the neurotransmitters in such a drink. They have also been found to have a massive effect on the way the brain responds to the particular type of stimulus.
The success of such a drink in the market would be inevitable. At one point and time, everyone has had the desire to become smarter or rather feel a little intelligent than they already are. The discovery of a drink that offers just that will be like the satisfaction of a psychological need that many people have (Burns, 2012). However, the drink should be massively tested before it is presented to the public to ensure that it does not lead to great side-effects that could be unforeseen initially. Nonetheless, the drink will also have a difficult time in its initial stages as most people resent change, especially when they are not sure about it. However, once it has picked the only way to go for the drink will be up.
