The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulatory standards and consensus standards are the safety programs developed by organizations to comply with the workplace and safety requirements. Although the two share the common objective of ensuring the safety of individuals at workplaces, they have some significant differences that make them differ from one another.

This is contrary to the ANSI laws which are unique to a given organizational settings and provides detailed technical applications that are not provided by OSHA.
