Nevada is a state in the USA and is an affiliate of Democratic Party and this can be seen in history through them voting democratic candidates into office in 1992 and 1996. However, in 2000 and 2004 they elected a Republican candidate but voted a democrat in 2008. In recent elections, all votes from Nevada were assigned to Clinton but however, she didn’t win. Trump became the first republic to win the election. Through voting, the Nevada State elects her representative in the US government to represent them. Being that Nevada state is in the United States of America they abide by all the procedures, rules and regulations governing Political Parties and election in the US. To understand how the political system of Nevada is we study that of the USA.

The United States of America has different political parties but not all these parties have the ability to print the names of their political aspirants on the ballots ( Morin, 2017 ). For a part to be allowed to have the names of the candidates printed on the ballot, they must meet some standards that are different from one state to another.

The United States Congress is bicameral where the House of Representatives has 236 Democrats including the four delegates and a total of 200 Republicans with one Delegate and the Resident commission of Puerto Rico, one independent and five vacant seats ( Morin, 2017 ). The Senate is composed of 53 Republicans, 45 Democrats and two independent candidates who have the passion to work with the Democrats only that the Democrats have given all their political parties seats to the other candidates. Both the Senate members and those of the House of Representatives are elected ( Morin, 2017 ). However, some other people may be appointed to fill some vacancies in the Senate.

In the House of Representatives, those members serve a spun of two years. These small regions called districts that the elected members of the Senate represent are determined through census and the population of a district is limited on the number of people it should have. The Senators serve for six years.

The United States executive branch is composed of the president and the Cabinet s/he chooses to represent the major department ( Morin, 2017 ), of the American government. The Cabinet meets once after seven days with the president to discuss government policies and implementation. Executive branch members help in making the policies and serve to represent the demands of the Americans.

The president of the US has roles like being the head of state, being the commander in chief, party chief, chief legislator, etc ( Morin, 2017 ). The Cabinet of the US has several functions where they advise the president on all the matters of the government and other information on the duties of each member in their respective duty stations.

The US governor serves as an executive officer of each 50 states and the five territories thus operating as the head of state and government head. The governor has some significant roles which include, signing the bills from the legislature ( Morin, 2017 ). The governor here is allowed to make his/her input in the bills that have been discussed and through the experience s/he can agree by signing to allow the bill to be implemented. The second duty that is entitled to the governor is conducting sessions with the legislature which are for specific reasons.

This allows the governor to ensure that all the bills that are passed by the legislature are good and can easily be adopted by the citizens ( Morin, 2017 ). However, this allows other members to get good training on leadership especially in the making policies that are affecting the lives of the people in the land. Thus, the governor also represents the state and delivers the report of the legislature to the state. At this point, the governor serves as the representative of the state to the legislature.

Thus s/he has to report to the state for the proceedings to the president. The other duty of the US governor is recommending the bills that will be amended and those that will need funding. The governor also declares special election vacancies in some offices thus calling people to begin asking for votes for the citizens. These are those vacancies that representatives serve for a short period like two years then they are declared vacant to have another representative who will fill and serve the people as they want. The governor can as well give pardon if the board for pardon has allowed it ( Morin, 2017 ).
