The writing process that every writer follows varies from one writer to another. Always, the writing process is a routine that naturally occurs and is not a guide that involves some procedure that writers refer to as they write (Caskey, 2002). Being conscious of a writing process is very essential when writing a tricky article, and it calls upon the writer to develop some guiding steps that can make the writer achieve his aim with ease. As such, the core objective of this paper will be to present an analysis of the writing process that I used to develop a fluent and flowing paper. Additionally, the paper will also address the reasons that made me make changes on my work during the process of editing as well as the first year learning objectives that helped me make progress in my writing.
A writer must be well prepared with all the writing requirements before he embarks on the process of writing. Prewriting involves the identification of everything that is required of a writer before sitting down to draft a rough copy. During my writing process, I first found out my idea by drawing my inspiration from my readings, and I noted down all my ideas in my notebook. The next step was to develop my idea by writing freely on the notebook as I connected my ideas and the ideas that I have read in the course material in the semester (Hatcher & Goddard, 2005). I just let my ideas to flow as I quickly wrote them on the paper with the intention of making spelling and grammatical errors after the completion of my writing. My next stage involved the development of the plan and structure that helped me fix all my ideas together. It is through planning and structuring of my writing process that I managed to choose the most important ideas that formed my story.

After all the above mentioned procedures, I embarked on the writing plan as I was ready to start writing because of the availability of all the necessities for good writing. I first formed a rough copy of my writing without giving considerations to grammar and word count. Straying from the topic a little bit was not my main worry since I know that there are prominent writers who always have lots of rough drafts before they finally produce a final manuscript (Lannon, 2011). It was easy for me to write because I thought of this level of writing as a free exercise though with more procedures as compared to the above mentioned starting points. I preferred writing when my mind was still fresh and my body not exhausted because of other activities that encompass sporting activities. Writing was easier because I did not view it as a duty but as a hobby.
Revision of the paper was the next stage that followed the writing stage and to make the revision of the paper effective; I adopted the approach of the Add, Rearrange, Remove, and Replace (A.R.R.R) that many writers apply (Markos, 2011). I applied add when I wanted to find out the total word count of my work after being satisfied that I had written all the sensible information concerning my article. I also reviewed my notebook that contained my rough copy to confirm if I had compiled all the vital information that should appear in my final copy. The rearrange approach helped me to verify the flow of my article, the sequencing and the pacing of my story. It also helped review the plot and the objectives of my writing by considering better ways that would enhance the occurrence of events of my writing in the paper. The remove approach was helpful at ensuring that I met the required word count for my writing and that there was no overload of information in my work that could bore readers. Through the remove approach, I was capable of doing away with the unnecessary passages that did not fit in the paper.
Additionally, the replace approach was an efficient way of going through my work as I looked for second best options to replace the not so good phrases. The replace option also gave me the opportunity to provide more clarity to my work by inserting more vivid details that I did not think of when I was drafting my rough copy (Caskey, 2002). Also, I gave my work to some of my friends who are good in writing to help me proof read my paper and gave them the free will to suggest the corrections that were essential in improving the content of my paper. I rewrote the phrases that were considered incorrect by my friends.
My focus during the process of writing was on producing a paper without mistakes as well as a paper that can catch the attention of readers. As such, I had to carry out a thorough research on the topic that I wanted to write about before embarking on writing as well as revising the paper by applying all the stages that I have mentioned above (Lannon, 2011). After overhauling my paper through the above mentioned processes, I had to fine tune every line of my writing by editing the paper. The process of fine tuning the paper encompassed the checking of grammatical mistakes, repetitions, spelling errors, and punctuations that were not correctly put in the paper. Since editing is a process that is so detailed and complex, I had to run my work in computer software that detects all the above indicated errors as well as the provision of the best alternatives to replace the detected errors.
I found it very essential to make the changes to make the paper more appealing as some of the changes encompassed correcting the mistakes that were detected during the process of editing as well as suggestions from my friends. The paper had a fluent and sequencing flow after I made the changes.
As a first year, the learning objectives that made me make progress towards writing a fluent paper that can catch the attention of readers included paying attention to detail and the emphasis on carrying out a thorough research on the topic before embarking on writing. Additionally, the encouragement on the course materials that emphasizes the need and importance of being a good writer also played an essential role in assisting make progress in my writing. My desire to attain the highest level of points regarding my field of discipline and writing in particular also helped. My dream has always been to write articles that can catch the attention of readers and be one of the best article writers in the country if not in the world. Such a focus on good writing has made me have the urge to write a novel someday after my graduation.
To conclude, writing is a complex process that requires adequate preparation if a writer aims at achieving his objectives. A paper that has a sequence and a fluent flow of events will easily catch the attention of the readers. Also, a paper without errors such as spelling and grammatical mistakes can be easy to understand. As such, for a writer to produce a paper that is of the required standard then he should consider using the above mentioned process of writing.
