For the case of long term objectives, working on learners self-esteem to encourage an ever ongoing success within the class and outside environment. Development of a children-friendly environment provides the first step to successful engagement for the learners towards positive change. This can, in turn, be achieved through the development of student groups, sharing, and participation of the parents towards the provision of a positive environment.
Finally, there is the development of communication skills. Learners thrive in an environment that provides warm and communication which fosters a positive environment for learning. Short term goal is the engagement of learners with age-appropriate communication patterns. This is achieved through the use of descriptive language, matching spoken words with written ones, as well as providing daily opportunities to write, and building of vocabulary.
