Professional standards can be described as a set of ethics, behaviors, and practices that a specific professional group must observe. In education, professional standards deliver an agenda for trainers and teachers to analytically appraise their practice and improve their teaching through continuing professional progression (Call, 2018). The professional standards I abide by are honesty and integrity. The two are interesting to me because they aid me in maintaining high standards and uphold ethics in supporting learners and their expectations. Honesty and integrity have been values that clarify some of my professional traits and help me build my teaching career. These standards guarantee my accountability in making desirable, informed decisions and maintaining competence in education.
The conference I would like to attend is the International Conference on Mainstreaming in Education. The conference is to be held in Rome and seeks to bring together several scholarly involvements for presentation during the program. It aims to bring in researchers and scientists who will exchange and share their experiences regarding mainstreaming in education. Additionally, the Learning and the Brain Annual Conference is essential as it provides professional progression for various educators and clinicians.

One of my continuing education is a master's in strategic management. I pursue this opportunity to help in improving my job marketability. I enrolled for this opportunity to also embark on a journey of developing my career. One of the publications that support my learning publication is a book by Norman Vincent Peal titled, “The Power of Positive Thinking”. The book instills confidence in my thoughts and encourages me to always have positive and critical thinking. Positive thinking is essential in reducing stress and anxiety, bettering emotional well-being, and improving my coping skills. However, I would like to start a book club with a book by Stephen R. Covey titled, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”.
