Psychology plays an important part in the life of human beings. Generally, psychology is made up of a wide range of topics that are either directly or indirectly related to how individuals learn and interact with their environment. In this manner, how people behave is a result of the learning process. There are always many theories, concepts, and terms that are related to psychology and while all these are uniquely different, some of the theories are closely related ( Feldman, & Kuyken, 2019) . This paper comprehensively analyzes four psychology concepts and how they are related to my personal life.
Interpersonal Relationship
The concept of interpersonal relationship is majorly concerned with the connections, social associations, or affiliations that are found between two or more people. In the interpersonal relationship concept, it is stated that two people are interdependent and this implies that their relationship has reached a level where the behavior of each person might affect the outcome of the other person ( Nevid, 2021) . This happens because people frequently interact with one another in a series of interaction which is interrelated and can affect each other. There are various types of relationships that individuals usually form with other people where some are close and intimate while some may not be intimate. For example, close and intimate relationships may include spouse, parent to child, and friendship relationships ( Nevid, 2016) . The other relationships which are not close and intimate are teacher-student and neighbor relationships.

There are various instances where we experience interpersonal relationships in our life. For example, in my case, my family is very important to me and everything that happens to any member of the family adversely affects me. I remember when I was seriously stressed up because my mother was ill. She was sick for about two months and this period was my worse. I was stressed up to an extent that I did not even eat on most occasions. I could not find enough sleep as I used to do before she fell ill. I remember we were approaching exams and it negatively affected my performances. Sure, interpersonal relationship exists and I experienced this from my mother, whom we are related with by blood. My mother is a person whom we used to actively talk with, I depended on her for everything in my life, she used to motivate me and do everything for me. She meant the world to me and perhaps, this is why I was affected when she got ill.
Memory Concept
The memory concept is very important in the field of psychology. Many authors give different definitions of memory but one common definition in the field of psychology is that it entails how individuals draw their past experiences to make use of the information in the present ( Hirst, et al., 2018 ). Generally, memory is made up of various processes and structures which are involved in the storage and retrieval of information. This is why memory is very important to the life of human beings and the psychology concepts state that without memory of the past, human beings cannot be able to have a vision of the future or operate in the present. Without memory, people will not be able to recall what they did yesterday, what they are doing today, or what they are planning to in the future ( Hirst, et al., 2018 ). Sadly, without memory, we cannot be able to even learn anything.
I can relate to the concept of memory very well in my personal life. There is a time when I was suffering from some mentally ill disorders and my life was negatively affected. At first, I did not understand what was happening to me until I was taken to the hospital. I was easily forgetting and could not be able to remember most of the things. We could talk about something and the next minute I do not remember anything. My performances were equally affected in school and after being taken to the hospital, I was diagnosed to be suffering from Alzheimer’s dementia. I am lucky I was treated and got back my memory well. Since then, I have been performing well in school and my brain can effectively encode, store and retrieve information.
Personality concept
In psychology, the personality concept is a characteristic way in which individuals think, feel and behave. Personality is made up of opinions, attitudes, and moods and is mostly expressed in the manner in which people interact with one another ( Feldman, & Kuyken, 2019) . Personality can be explained in two ways in psychology. The first one is concerned with the differences that exist between individuals. In this case, personality is focused on the classification and explanation of the characteristics of the stable human mental capacity ( Nevid, 2021) . The second is based on the various qualities that make people alike and those that can distinguish individuals from other species.
People are uniquely different and have different personalities. For example in my case, I find myself to be very different from my brother. We are born from the same biological parents but we have very different personalities. I am a social person and would freely talk with any person I come across. I am always an honest person who gets along with others easily. On the other hand, my brother is easily irritable and an introvert who does not talk with people.
Social changes and Life-span Development Concept
Social changes and lifespan development refers to how people change and grow from birth to death. In psychology, lifespan development is the full process of human development and this is usually affected by various social changes that people encounter ( Feldman, & Kuyken, 2019) . Various types of development change take place in human life. The psychologists classify these changes to take place in four major areas which are, social, physical, emotional, and cognitive. This is a concept that is very realistic in my life. For example, I have traveled to different places since I was born and changed my social life, especially how interact and to celebrate some major functions. I have also grown tall which is a big change and learned various subjects that I hope will shape my career in the future.
