Racism and violence. Most cities across the country have protests sparked by racial injustices. The black American population is often discriminated against by the white [population due to their color. Racism corrupts the Americans to build a better world. a recent case of racism and violence erupted when George Floyd was killed by a white policeman in full view of the crowd, whereas the black man had been unarmed and heartless (Economist, 2020). This led to protests in the country until justice was served.
Gender-based violence is rampant in Uganda, whereby women have no say in any issue in society. They are discriminated against due to their code of dressing. Moreover, when black women seek visas to go to the states, they are widely interrogated with the view that they have gone to seek a husband in the states (Economist, 2020). Women do not have a say in any issue, as when they express their opinions, they go to prison for it. They are even blamed for being the cause of road accidents just because they are women.

Racism and Violence-Quality of Life Aspects
In the first article, the military quality of life aspect is concerned with peace and security of oneself. Regarding the killing of George Floyd, his military quality of life was discriminated against by the policeman as he was harmed instead of being protected.
The social quality of life involves how well the law treats individuals (Economist, 2020). George Floyd was unjustly treated by the police, a man who was a member of the law. Thus, he received unequal treatment just because he was not of the white race but a black race.
Gender-Based Discrimination- The Quality-Of-Life Aspects
In the second article, the social quality of life can be seen whereby women in Uganda are discriminated against due to gender (ECONOMIST, 2020). A woman is imprisoned when they try to question the law. The law in the country serves to discriminate instead of protecting her.
Cultural quality of life involves the development of a preserved cultural heritage. In Uganda, men are taught to view women as lesser beings (ECONOMIST, 2020). In schools, they are viewed as tools as even little boys do not have respect for them; for instance, boys teel one another of the growing behind of the females instead of focusing on the positive sides of women.
