The poem is also open to various interpretations on what the poet means by who “we” are, who “I” is, and what “this…land” refers to. Secondly, each section of the poem seems to be fragmented and does not seem to be related to the next. For example in the last stanza the sections of a nursery rhyme are merged to the sections of the Lord’s Prayer – which are combined using a mysterious philosophical assertion.
