Over the years, racism has been termed to be historical, pathological and geographical. However, it is a case that has continued to affect millions of people around the world. For instance, when we reflect on South Africa, racism was the major thing experienced that forced the country to push for its independence. Besides, after independence, the country now started acting against the persons who are not of their race. For instance, the whites, as at per now, are the ones facing racial discrimination. Moreover, racism has been passed across generations. As a result, it is steered up by personal behaviour, culture and norms of an institution and also the cultural sequences that the society undergoes. Also, this means that this is things that can be avoided by merely treating everyone equally, but instead, individuals have continued to ignore it and act in the same old ways.
Racism has both psychological and physiological impacts on an individual. For instance, racism brings stress. For instance, being African-American, I have heard various people chant about the colour of my skin. This has, at times, made me feel that I am living in a society in which I am not invited in. It has caused psychological torture and always made me feel like I should just run away from school and go and stay alone at a place where there could be no human to interrupt. Stress has resulted in health conditions, for instance, ulcers, which has kept on arising from time to time. Moreover, my social morale has been lowered due to the fear of being racially discriminated. This has brought about a challenge in social stratification to the nation at large (American Public Health Association, 2015) . Several measures have been taken to assist in improving racial crisis to the nation at large. For instance, biases in study and diagnostic equipment and methods that have a clear picture of racism in health institutions, schools and also at work have been eliminated (APA, 2008) . This practice is meant to do away with racism that individuals in a society are subjected to.

Moreover, from the images that portray racism found the links given, for example, from TIME (2020), there is this picture of a Kurd girl staring out. The image suggests that the girl is lonely since there is no one beside her on the seat that she has taken. The best choice for her to do is now to stare outside and look at the mountains. She also appears to be drowning in a world full of thoughts. As a result, the image has not changed my stance on racism. Instead, it portrays the racial ethnicity that exists in Syria whereby any other person from a native group does not seem to be welcomed in a society that is not his/hers. Besides, from a photo in world press photo (2020), there is a group of Africans who appear to be demonstrating. The most likely reason is due to racism since they are all blacks. As a result, from these pictures, I have learned that racism is not only discrimination against the blacks but instead its discrimination of persons who do not belong in a given society. These pictures bring more sorrow and make me condemn racism more. Also, it makes me question why society acts this way. Due to this, the pictures have made me indignant since there appears to be no change that might be taking place in dealing with racism worldwide. As a result, my mind is full of thoughts of how I will continue living in such a world with no equal treatment of different persons.
