Ray Charles was an American songwriter, singer, musician and composer and was often referred to as "The genius". He became blind at the age of seven[1]. However, he became a renowned artist if his time, and successfully released several albums which were a blend of several genres such as country, blues and R&B/ Soul. The album "Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music" was released in April 1962 on ABC-paramount records[1].
