Paragraph Reflection on my Use of Proofreading
In this class, we have done a lot of writing and as such, proofreading comes in handy. After I am done writing my final draft, I will have to proofread in a bid to ensure the paper is free from grammatical, typographical and spelling errors.
After putting together my final draft, I will set it aside for 48 hours before I commence proofreading. During that period, I will manage to look at the draft afresh, and probably improve my perspective towards it. Immediate proofreading after I have written is not the best idea because will not have time to reflect on what I have written.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Proofreading requires to be done at a specific time. In that case, I will do it very early in the morning; because it is the time I am alert. I am relaxed and my mind is fresh, and no error will escape my attention. I will not be in a hurry and this will enable me to think through and fix the draft appropriately.
Besides proofreading systematically for one type of error at a time, I will have to give my classmate to go through the draft. By focusing on one error at a time, I will ensure no error escapes my eyes. Similarly, allowing my classmate to scan my document will ensure that any error that I overlooked is rectified.
Grammar-Related Issues in my Writing
One of the grammar issues in my writing is making awkward construction. In most cases, I am fond of writing illogical sentences such that, when I read them after sometimes, I find myself struggling to understand what I meant. Obviously, even readers will have a hard time understanding it too. I have managed to put this to a halt, thanks to this course. I always ensure I write short sentences, clear and to the point. For long sentences, I opt to divide them into two, to avoid confusing the reader.
