Darwin's theory of evolution illustrates the origin of human beings. Darwin's paradigm explains the devoid nature of the distant oceanic islands. The island lacked terrestrial mammals except for the flying bats. Studying biology offers convincing evidence to enable students to acquire relevant ideas and comprehension of various biological or natural phenomena. For instance, clinical biology enables learners to understand the origin of diseases (bacterial disorders). Hand (2018) holds that Rudolf Carl Virchow applied cell theory to illustrate the consequences of illness in tissues and organs of a person: the contemporary concept of pathological processes. He suffices that diseases originate from individual cells primarily as opposed to the idea that illness arises from tissues and organs.

Biological studies expose learners to various transformation processes, such as gene mutation. Gene mutation act as a universal phenomenon that results in variations in organism or animal populations. Living organisms experience a gradual change in their genetic composition leading to the emergence of new species ( Garland, Zhao, & Saltzman, 2016 ). The resultant species, after natural selection, have adaptive features to the environmental conditions.

Biological studies enable students to comprehend brain involvement in the perceptional change in a person through the application of binocular rivalry. A person's brain combines two slight divergent portraits or images of an individual's eyes into one consistent perception. However, distinction in images results in the observation of one image concurrently ( Czigler & Stefanics, 2015 ). Consequently, the use of binocular rivalry (phenomena) enables biologists to decipher crucial mechanisms of brain operations that explains the conscious visual perception of human beings.

Behavior acts as a critical determinant of survival in animals and modifies the response of animals when interacting with various animal species in their environment. Regarding evolution, selective ecological pressures modified organisms' behavior, body, motor, and sensory capacities ( Maruska, 2015 ). Environmental conditions dictate a behavioral change of living organisms, which in turn promotes a lifetime structural changes in the brain of animal species. Sensory capacities of living organisms stimulate constraining behavioral responses in animals.
