Voting is a fundamental process that should be embraced by all citizens with voting rights in different states. The fact that youths do not give the process the seriousness it deserves is discouraging; because they are the majority population across the United States, and as such their contributions towards the process can significantly impact the government's overall decisions regarding them (Anthony, 2016) . The youths are unaware of the power they possess through the ownership and application of their voting rights and as a result, they ignore the whole exercise. Logically, the youths will take over the leadership roles once the present leaders leave the offices and are incapable of leading them. Therefore, there is need for the young generation to exercise their rights to streamline their future through their impact on the overall decision-making process.
Youths have the capability of collaborating in matters relating to their welfare. They should take advantage of this and encourage their peers to get involved in the whole exercise for the sake of a better future. In the quest to enhance this, they should continuously educate each other about the importance of the activity and to increase their awareness on this issue. Rather than yearning for change without any actions, the youth should embark on leading as examples in the voting process. They should discard the assumptions associated with the voting process and embrace the facts by engaging in the whole exercise. Their involvement can assure them of either a positive or negative change but failure to act will guarantee them the ignorance of their own needs ( The Power of the Youth Vote, 2016). Overly, the youth should stand up for their rights by taking an active role in the voting process to improve the leadership and the whole administrative decision-making process in the United States.
