In the essay “Requiem for a Skywalker” the author creates an impression that this was the most tragic stories regarding a science fiction. The tragic aspect is depicted in different instances that portray a series of catastrophic events. The first major example that proves the point that this was a tragic tale involves the point at which Anakin’s anger grew and he become violent leading to a situation where he slaughtered the entire camp of the sand people. The killings in this case is a proof that the tale was tragic considering that Anakin did not spare anyone due to anger. The second example used by the author to depict the tragic events involves the situation where Anakin’s anger was fueled leading to an attack on his old friends, mentors, and countless young Jedi, which is an aspect that resulted to the beginning of Anakin’s suffering and ultimately converting to being the evil Darth Vader.
As a fan of the “Star Wars” I believe that the author was correct in his interpretation concerning the tragic tales of the science fiction. Considering the series of events that are depicted within the “Star Wars” it is evident that the author capitalized on depicting the events to portray the catastrophic events that happened throughout the lives of the characters. Another major indicator that the author was correct in his interpretation concerning the film is the depiction of the characters and their different roles. In this case, the author capitalized on the character of Anakin, who ceased to be, thereby being the evil Darth Vader, which is an evil character that was created through the aspect of anger and hatred. Additionally, I believe the author’s interpretation considering the themes present, which relates to the themes that are depicted in the “Star Wars”.
