There are specific areas that are critical when it comes to communicating effectively and preventing misunderstanding through revision within writing. Three of the most critical areas of evaluation to be considered in communicating effectively through revision within writing include content, readability, and editing ( Michener & Irving, 2017). In this case, readability would be substantial because the primary purpose of the writing would be to make an individual to understand the intended message. I would, therefore, ensure that another person can easily and quickly read the work and to make the message clear. In the event where the written work is not readable, then it would follow that the primary purpose of the message will not be met adequately ( Michener & Irving, 2017). It is true that there are times when writers get caught up in facts such that they end up forgetting that there is a reader that needs to read the work and understand the message. Therefore, the revision will focus on the work to ensure that it can easily be read.
The second area that I will concentrate on the revision of my writing would be the content. It would be important to ensure that the content of the writing is clear and avoid possible contradiction. In the revision process, I will make sure that the reader can read the work and get the primary content. The last area to be focused in the revision would be editing. Editing would be critical in this case to address possible grammar and spelling errors that might be evident in work ( Michener & Irving, 2017). Correct spelling will enhance the credibility of the work and remove errors that might be obvious to the reader. Through editing, I will be able to track the punctuation through focusing on the signals and signs to navigate the written work. Using correct signals, I will enable the reader to effectively follow my thoughts while at the same time reduce the likelihood of errors.
