Adolescent development is one of the developmental stages that affect most of the students at the secondary school level. One of the changes that occur during adolescence is the development of the brain. Once the brain develops, some variations take place affecting the emotional and relationship reaction of the students (Roaten & Roaten, 2012). Notably, the changes that occur in the brain affect the behavior of the adolescents. In some instances, students will react differently under certain conditions of stress (fhi360.org, 2016). Other students engage in risky behaviors as a way of expressing their dissatisfaction towards something. Additionally, the enhancement of the cognitive ability of the students is evident during the adolescence stage, and some of its characteristics include increased efficiency and effectiveness (Roaten & Roaten, 2012).
The other change that occurs during adolescence is the physical development. During the development phase, educating the students about the changes they should expect to experience is imperative to minimize anxiety (fhi360.org, 2016). The ethical and moral development also occurs during the development stage. The culture at school or at home plays a crucial role in molding the values of the adolescents. The teachers should also ensure that the moral behaviors of the students are observed to take corrective actions for wrongdoings (fhi360.org, 2016).

During the adolescence stage, there are various measures that the teachers should undertake to manage classrooms effectively. The teacher should create a positive learning environment for all the students by ensuring that there are adequate resources for learning. Additionally, the teachers must ensure that positive relationship among the students is enhanced. Managing the disruptive activities that the students undertake is utilized to improve the effective relations (fhi360.org, 2016).
