The purpose of my speech was to inform my audience about the second amendment, emphasizing the importance of owning firearms. My audience learned about the different ways people interpret the second amendment, the reason it was drafted, and why it should be  implemented . This allowed the audience to be knowledgeable about and understand their rights as far as the second amendment is concerned. I captured my audience's attention using my attention-getter because a good percentage of them or loved ones had fallen victim to crime and  coercion  in the past and could not protect themselves since they had no firearms. Others have had their loved ones  viciously  murdered in the past. As a result, the audience saw my  incentive  as an effort to  eradicate  crime in the society.

The audience could also easily follow through my speech, even with poor delivery since I had  previewed  my thesis. If there is something I could do differently next time, then it would be on my introduction; I would research more on what would capture the attention of the audience most and include it in my introduction. I also plan to work more on my visual presentation next time since the one I applied was not so standing out to capture the attention of my audience. I must also admit that my audience's high levels of  tolerance  were soothing that after a few seconds of my speech, my nervousness disappeared. At first, my  motor skills  almost failed me, and I was so restless and fidgeting a lot.

My main weakness was on my delivery, and the content was my strength. However, I delivered my speech more confidently compared to the last time, hence showing progress. Despite this progress, I still referred to my notes frequently, bouncing back and forth. Therefore, in the future, I plan to prepare more prior to my speech and memorize it more to avoid such let downs. Besides, the last time I gave a speech, the large audience was so terrifying that I came very close to passing out since I had a mild panic attack. It was  ironic  that I still managed to continue with my speech to the end, yet I could not even support myself in a standing position. Besides, in my latest speech, I did pretty well by maintaining proper eye contact with my audience while applying my knowledge of  proxemics  to maintain the appropriate distance between them and me, hence ensuring that we connect personally. I also outdid myself by maintaining an excellent  voice projection  throughout my speech. This has always been my strength since I was a child.

Moreover, when I conducted an  audience analysis  during my speech, they seemed to understand and agree with me, with very little  indifference . Therefore, there was no need to readjust my address to fit better. I also gave the desired credits to the authors and websites I used to prepare for my speech. This is because it is important to be  factual  when providing information to others. Besides, I had learned previously that I should avoid  extemporaneous speeches  if I were to perform well. As a result, I prepared better than the last time; even though it was not enough to keep me from referring to my notes, as I mentioned earlier, Besides, I rehearsed two times before delivering my speech. My friend, who gave an  impromptu  speech, was so stressed out during the speech and did not have a proper flow of ideas.

For future students, I would discourage  ethnocentrism  and  egocentrism  and encourage them to be willing to ask for assistance in preparing for their speeches whenever they feel they are not getting it right. In that line, I would also encourage them to see everyone as equals and participate in group activities since it helps prepare better and reduce nervousness during speech  delivery . My main focus as I listened to my peers' speeches was on their  reference frames  to understand how they communicate their ideas. I learned that people have different customs, beliefs, and concepts by which they behave and deliver insights. Moreover, I learned that in delivering a speech, it is vital to be  charismatic  to attract my audience's attention and admiration.
