Paul Edgecombe in the movie The Green Mile
In the movie he plays the role of a desperate man who is willing to do anything so that his wife can be cured of cancer. Roland Deschain in the movie The Dark Tower Series
He is the main character in the movie and has a strong, smart and capable character that contributes to the development of the plot. In the movie Ronald is presumed to be very old and that he is immortal. He is the last existing member of a knightly group referred to as the gunslingers and the last descendant of Arthur Eld. Although Ronald’s world is different from earth, it imitates most of its structures. For instance, it is politically organized and is influenced by a feudal society; it also has technological and social factors that are a reflection of the American Old West.
Andy Dufresne in the movie Rita Hayworth And The Shawshank Redemption
Andy plays the role of an innocent man who seeks to get his revenge. He spends years tackling the prison yard political system and using his intelligence to gain his freedom back.
From this list of characters, the one character that I would want to have in my life would be Paul Dufresne due to his resilience and intelligence. The character I would not want to have in my life would be Roland Deschain, because he is the only of his kind that exists in his world.
From the character quiz I am Annie Wilkes - a nerdy person who is a little strange, seeking love and wanting adventure.
The Boogeyman
Morality and religion
Lester Billing is an alcoholic, racist and immoral man. Rita is beautiful, affectionate and naïve. Dr. Harper manipulative, intelligent and professional.
I was surprised to find out that Lester Billing was confessing to the real boogeyman the whole time without his knowledge. All along Dr. Harper pretending to help Lester Billing get through the tough time he was going through, yet he was the cause of all his problems. Thus, Lester is unaware that the person he is confiding in is not really there to help him because he is the real enemy.
If the story was to continue, I think Lester Billing will devise a plan to revenge on Dr. Harper.
I like this story as it is interesting and captivating due to the suspense build up and King’s ability to give the readers a clear perspective of how marriage life was during the 1960’s.
This is the first story I am reading from Stephen King and I look forward to reading more from him.
