The Music industry, since time immemorial, has been highly characterized by many contemporary composers who have significantly informed and influenced the future course of music. As such, many composers have, through the ages, strived to create something different and distinct with the primary aim of revamping and fostering the music industry a notch higher. One of the most hitherto celebrated and renowned composers of all time is Steve Reich, an impeccably great musician whose works utterly influenced the musical culture, up to date. Perhaps his greatest work that catapulted him to higher glory and influence is the ‘Music for 18 Months’, a stellar piece that grabbed worldwide attention and popularity, especially for its utter and stylish distinctiveness.

Steve Rich stands at the apex of world’s greatest music composers, especially considering that his music was diverse, thus influencing generations of classical, jazz as well as pop musicians in the 20 th and 21 st Centuries. 1
