Industries today often rely on technology and innovation. Both technology and innovation enhance industries by improving service delivery and the quality of performance in the workplace. The healthcare industry manages technology and innovation by employing strategies that ensure both service providers and clients are satisfied. Furthermore, the approach used in this industry can be applied in the manufacturing industry.

The healthcare industry had embraced technology and in turn, implemented strategies meant to manage it. The aim of using technology in healthcare is to improve the quality of care and to ensure happier and healthier patients. Moreover, patient experience is bound to change by integrating technology with the culture. Technology enhances the patient experience by providing faster and better means of service delivery. The staff also use technology to better communicate with both patients and colleagues. The industry also develops principles in respect to technology that guides practitioners (Thimbleby, 2013). These principles ensure proper use and management of technology in the industry.

Furthermore, making plans that incorporate technology requires the constant review of such plans due to the evolving nature of technology (Thimbleby, 2013). Regular reviewing of plans ensures that the decisions made are kept up to date to ensure continued quality service delivery. It also allows healthcare institutions to make updates on the technology for better performance.

The management of Innovation is equally as important as technology management in the healthcare industry. Innovation is managed by incorporating it into leadership, vision, mission, and values of organizations (Duarte, Goodson & Dougherty, 2013). Such incorporation ensures that there is support from administration to provide innovation is continuously applied in the industry. Furthermore, the change allows for setting goals and objectives that are in turn used to measure and improve performance, which in turn enhances productivity.

The strategies used in managing technology and innovation in the healthcare industry can also be used in the manufacturing industry. In this industry, integrating technology and organization culture facilitates performance tracking (Kamath, Rodrigues & Desai, 2011). Organizational culture undergoes constant changes to improve manufacturing performance, which in turn increases productivity in the industry. The culture also serves as a guideline for the implementation of technology in different fields and its application.

The industry also relies on innovation to implement manufacturing strategies and goals set in manufacturing organizations. Change also determines the tasks to be carried out in the industry, hence the development of new personnel task (Kamath, Rodrigues & Desai, 2011). Incorporating innovation in various manufacturing tasks eases the manufacturing process and ensures quality output. Change also determines the type of technology to be used, thus task allocation, as well as tracking employee performance.

In conclusion, technology and innovation are essential in any industry. Innovation leads to the development of new technology that is used to improve the quality of output and service delivery. In the healthcare industry, technology and innovation are managed by integrating them into organizational culture, the industry’s future plans, and performance improvement efforts. These strategies are also applicable in the manufacturing industry.
