The musical setting of both Tera Eko Nam and Sheikh Farid’s composition Jassi Dola greatly relate to Guru Nanak's sovereign experience. These two compositions are available in the Raga Asa Tab, and some of these compositions are preserved in the Sikh holy book. The Sovereign Power of Guru Nanak is addressed as “greatly blessed are the people who happen to sail in the Divine and a celestial ship called Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The music takes the listener into a ‘Voyage Divine,’ in the experience through the most alarming Ocean of Mortality during this Dark Age. The journey is long and wonderful with the uninterrupted Holy Company and solace of our most Beloved Satguru. The one thing that remains surprising is the fact that Guru Nanak remains to be the one person who is at our side all the time and never leaves us stranded at any given point. In other words, Guru Nanak is our savior and our Rescuer.

In Jassi Dola, Sheikh Farid talks about the Holy Guru Granth Sahib, which is a Divine Ship. Through this ship, it is possible for one to easily cross this scary ocean of death and illusion by reciting, hearing, or singing the Divine Glories and the Name of the Lord (holy Kirtan) through the hymns of the Lord. The Holy Association of Sri Guru Granth Sahib is the highest Satsang. Guru Nanak's wonderful Sport and Divine Lila on earth leave a flashing image on our minds thanks to these sacred hymns and the fact that Faith and Holy Remembrance are enough for liberation.

The lyrics of Tera Eko Nam and Sheikh Farid’s composition Jassi Dola both have the same message that Love is God and God is Love. Sri Guru Nanak Sahib, in His Majestic Udasis, reaches out, with lots of love and compassion, to those viewed as the worst sinners such as Sajan, the murderer, Kauda the Rakshas, the downtrodden, the lepers, and Bhooma the Dacoit, and He saves them. The Everlasting expression of Sri Guru Nanak Sahib is Sri Guru Granth Sahib who is Love, and Love is Sri Guru Granth Sahib. As such, Sri Guru Granth Sahib is viewed as Cosmic Love, and He reaches out to the people who are in search of solace and a healing balm drawn from the Great Emancipator.

The soothing and healing love provided by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib is extended to the wounded and the thirsty and wounded, and it is free to be accessed by the whole humanity without any discrimination or distinction and discrimination. The love of Guru Gobind Singh Ji can be explained as All-Embracing and Universal, and all the glory goes back to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, the Lord who permeated the whole being of His Potentiality with His Eternal Appearance, which is the Everlasting Guru Sri Guru Granth Sahib. As such, the authors of these two compositions conclude that Gurbani is given an extra charge with all the spiritual authority and supremacy of the Divine Gurus because they had already permeated their whole Divine strength in there. Every single lyric in the hymns is a representation of the fully surcharged being with the Eternal Glory of the Divine Name. These two compositions are available in the Raga Asa Tab, and some of these compositions are preserved in the Sikh holy book.
