The issue of imposing individual tax income has been controversial in as far as aiding development is concerned. For one, I like individual income tax because it was a good way of enabling the state government to have a better grip on the goings-on on the ground. Through individual income tax, the state and notably the federal government has a better chance of ensuring that everyone in the society is actively involved in the process of contributing to improving the prerequisite economy. On another hand, I dislike the individual income tax for the simple reason that it cuts on the public’s paycheck. The main point here is that someone who earns less stands to lose more through the tax than one who has a larger paycheck. By foregoing the individual income tax, it is imperative to note that the Texas government has gone a long way towards easing the burden of day-to-day living on the ordinary person.
I would consider finding alternatives and maintaining a balance in the state’s income asthe major problems associated with individual income tax. For one, it is necessary to find alternatives that would enable equal if not better opportunities that would yield income to be used to run the government’s affairs. This comes with the challenge of maintaining a balance of income that is supposed to ensure the smooth running of Texas affairs while allowing the average person to live a stable and better life.I hold that withdrawing the individual income tax in Texas was a good decision as it not only allowed for more dispensable income among Texans but also creates room for creativity. Any government should make it a priority not to live off the ordinary person’s pocket but rather have creative and better alternativesfor earning. In conclusion, not having the individual tax income in Texas provides better prospects for the development and advancement of the state.
