For instance, our daily lives are characterized by endless meetings and conferences that eventually leave us exhausted. Some of the meetings and conferences that people attend on daily basis do not add value to their wellbeing. Decongesting our daily schedules to accommodate only the very vital meetings would do much on our wellbeing. First, a lot of time would be saved and re-directed to more important people like family members and important business partners. Eventually, time and resources will have been spent on the right persons and that would make life better. Secondly, the idea of decongesting one’s daily schedule to create room for important things is encouraged by minimalism; therefore, its adoption is paramount for persons who want to attain their life goals and targets.

Minimalism reduces stress (Becker, 2019). Wealth and resources accumulation are the goals of almost every person in the modern world. However, most of the wealth and resources accumulated do not add any value to our daily lives because our daily needs are minimal and can easily be met. Increased wealth and resources result into stress, as one is constantly contemplating on how to properly manage what he or she has. However, for minimalists, they only venture to accumulate what will sufficiently sustain their lives. Thus, their lives are free from stress of devising ways to protect wealth and resources. If all the people agreed to embrace minimalism, then the world would witness a great reduction of diseases that result from stress and brain congestion. Minimalists do not copy other peoples’ lifestyles because they are fully contended with the lives they are already living. Instead of copying other peoples’ lives, minimalists dedicate their time to their families and important things that bring joy to them.
Although anti-minimalists have argued much against the ideologies of minimalists, but their points are not compelling enough. Minimalism still reigns over their points because there is more sense of the true meaning of life among minimalists. The arguments brought forth by minimalism about time greatly override the ideas of anti-minimalists. Human beings only have limited time on the face of the earth and the best reward they can give to the limited time they have is by spending it sparingly. Also, after one leaves the face of the earth, wealth and resources are not recognized, but the family members left behind are. This argument makes minimalism sensible because it encourages spending more time with people we love and avoiding things that might consume our time but add no value to our lives. On the other hand, anti-minimalism advocates for wealth and resources accumulation. Time for things that add immeasurable value to our lives is rarely set.
