Teaching students with disabilities will require an extra effort on the following methods of teaching. One of the methods includes discrete trial training. This method is best for teaching skills to students with autism. It involves analytical techniques that help in breaking complex skills into subskills after which they are taught through repeated practices. Moreover, discrete trial training is grounded in behavior analysis that helps in defining different behaviors in the learning process. DTT promotes increased student’s attention skills since it is vocal. Furthermore, conducting multiple trials through DTT facilitates informative results hence improving the learning process (Rabideau et. al, 2018).

Additionally, naturalistic teaching approach is significant as a teaching method since it helps in offering guidance and enhancing socialization among students with disabilities. This approach accentuates contextual learning, which creates highly effective teaching interactions. The effectiveness of naturalistic procedures is enhanced through teaching the students in individualized and tightly controlled situations that minimize distractions and enhance concentration as well (Charlop et. al, 2018). Reinforcement offered by teachers through this approach generalizes the students’ behavior towards the targeted response hence focusing their efforts towards learning. Naturalistic procedures involve teaching in the context of everyday events that in return improve the level of understanding and socialization among the students.

The differential observing response is defined as a differential observing strategy that addresses faulty stimulus control. It is among the teaching approaches that involve putting the student in sensory contact with that sample inducement. Afterward, as a teacher observe the behavior and verify discrimination of stimulus features through vocal imitation. This approach is important as it exposes discriminative stimulus hence enlightening the teacher to employ important learning strategies (Fischer et. al, 2019). It will improve students’ matching-to-sample accuracy hence improving learning skills. Moreover, the teacher is assured of improved accuracy scores among the students. Therefore, upon employment of the identified methods of teaching including differentia observing response, naturalistic approach and discrete trial training, the teacher will be assured of improved teaching and learning skills in the classroom.
