The main problem within the case is the type of leadership used by Jason Brook. The company has a tradition to engage members in making decisions and allowing teams to be an integral to the company's success. Jason's leadership style is autocratic, and thus the expert team feels pressurized by his commands and demands. As a result, communication is negatively affected since the team members feel subjected to strict rules. I believe that allowing the team members to work collaboratively and in good relations is the only solution to make the project a success. Moreover, the team consists of experts who are responsible for performing their roles. Ordering them around is lowering their value, so Jason Brook should change his management style and work as a team leader and not as a harsh supervisor. Another problem is caused by the CEO's failure to address the problem facing the Global Project Team. It is his role to ensure that the company's culture and beliefs are upheld. Communication is essential and can cause many losses if there is a lack of proper communication between employees and employers.

I think the most important individuals in solving the problem in Super Nova include Jason Brook and the Companies CEO. Jason ought to change his way of leading a team and thus improve communication among the members. Moreover, I think he does not understand the importance of working as a team, as he also does not communicate efficiently with consultants in Chicago. To ensure that the project is a success, the company CEO may decide to appoint a new leader or ensure Jason has developed a better approach to deal with his team member. The themes of corporation and competition are evident in Super Nova’s Case. The Global Project team has a culture of working together and competing with each other to produce the best results in a short period. The company's culture and use of technology are also evident since the team believes in working together without strict monitoring. However, technology allows them to work collaboratively despite the different locations. It is evident in the case study that leadership and communication contribute significantly to a company's success.
