Civil rights are considered as one of the vital determinants of health across the universe. Previously in the history of the United States of America, civil rights' longstanding inadequacy has been correlated to persistent health imbalances, especially for Blacks. (Linda, 2020). Enforcement is a vital element for the success of civil rights law. However, racial and diversity is a basic tenet in society's evolution. Therefore, health or health care is of no exception. The conditions in which people reside have a profound impact on their health.
Population, place, and power all originate from subordination and forms the vital elements for health disparities. Subordination in health is a collective term that consists of intentional and unintentional approaches of injustices at all stages (Harris & Pamukcu, 2019). It envisions unfair discrimination treatment for others, a certain group of people or tribes based on demography and power. It forms the central driver for health disparities ranging from where people reside, whether the population is sparse or dense, and the people holding power. People residing in areas vulnerable to pollution are likely to have health issues. Citizens in densely populated areas are also likely to have health problems due to overcrowding. For instance, and people with no power are segregated and marginalized, thus cannot get quality healthcare as it should be.

The economic consequences of Covid-19 have negatively impacted on the healthcare system. The sector has been overwhelmed with slow policy response techniques resulting in a dependency on the fragile global supply chain of surgical masks, tests, and ventilators. (Martin, 2020). Moreover, people near towns have the upper hand in acquiring this equipment compared to this in rural areas. Also, those with power, such as government officials, can easily acquire them compared to those without, thus intensifying subordination in the health sector. The Covid-19 pandemic has also resulted in a shortage of qualified labor; thus, people in the densely populated areas have a lower doctor to patient ratio amplifying unfairness to those in crowded areas.
Structural subordination relates to how common behavioral and equal legislation and norms for everyone can affect an obscure, discriminatory intent. Advocates have an essential role in fostering legislation as a key factor for health promotion and welfare (Gonzalez et al., 2019). The advocates can identify and target subordination, place the civil rights of health initiative within the health justice framework. They should also embrace social movements as partners in the civil rights of a health initiative that will address the internal disadvantages of law and public health. Thus, forestalling universalism is vital in enhancing healthier behavior choices and a healthier community consisting of high-quality health care.
This applies across the small groups and is usually reflected in the vital public health policy approaches, such as equal affordable healthcare (Yearby, 2019). It is based on the overall goal achievement. For example, there have been campaigns to reduce the obesity rates with success in the overall rates in my community, but with unchanged prejudiced imbalances. Conversely, the techniques applied by the public health focus on fostering individual behavioral modification that conceals the function of the radical forces causing health inequalities, therefore, attributing imbalances in health to lifestyle options prolonging the racist notion by assigning roles to persons without considering their contextual lives and nullifying racial paradigm of power and place.
One of the health issues that is highly rampant and common in my locality is tobacco use among the youthful population. Through the health justice framework, there must be an equal chance of free from tobacco hazards that negatively impact health. This framework will address tobacco consumption that results in poor health for an individual and the aggregate outcome in society. However, this resonates well with how I would tackle the health issue. Therefore, there will be no change in my strategy.
