This assignment was both intriguing and challenging for me. It was difficult for me to categorize some of the activities I did during the day into the various categories of motivation. Some tasks appear to be under both learned and stimulated motivation. For example, I have learned how to take care of my skin, but it also encourages me since it is fun and I want to look nice. I also had a hard time categorizing the tasks I did for my dog. It is unquestionably not biological for me, but it is biological for my dog. However, my dog is a part of me; she is, after all, my baby, and I want her to live. Therefore it might be classified as biological in this case. I put it under-stimulation in my list, but I believe it might also go under learned because we learn that we must care for our pets. Overall, it was a challenging exercise that helped me reflect on what motivates me to undertake my daily activities.
