The poem metamorphoses focus on explaining the evolution of the world since its creation to the period of Julius within a loose of the mythical historical framework. The poem focuses on the explanation of over 250 myths of the period and the cultural way of life exercised by people during different periods of the world’s evolution (Albright, 2017). The Roman poet focused on presenting more information about the western culture by analyzing different types of art such as music, sculpture, and painting that shows all the kind of work that was performed by people during such periods. In achieving the set objective of the poem, Ovid divides the world into four different ages that show the evolution of the world and that reflected the western culture of the time (Fulkerson & Stover, 2016). In the first phase, world evolution was characterized by activities and referred to s the golden age. And the second age was the silver age. These periods were characterized by the excessive use of gold and silver. During these periods, gods ruled the power and acted as the guidance for humanity agriculture and architecture.

The Bronze and Iron Age show the changing situation where the world was characterized by the increased cases of war and creation of boundaries across the world. The bronze and iron age has increased the use of the materials needed in developing human culture. Even in the modern world, historians also use the bronze and iron materials to understand the material artifacts to understand the cultural way of life of people during such periods (Solodow, 2014). The most essential aspect and theme of the information is the theme of love that reflected through the presence of Amor a minor god in the Roman religion who plays an essential role by outwitting all other gods throughout the period. The analysis of the change in the cultural way of life of the people indicates that there has been a theme of transformation that shows the rate at which people keep on learning new ways of life. For example, the first error painting, weaving, and sharing of resources without emphasis on the need for independence and little application of technology was replaced with the increased concern for independence which was characterized by war and creation of boundaries as people are reluctant to change. At the end of the Metamorphoses, Ovid ends the story by arguing that everything changes because of the evolution of human creativity through agricultural activities, traditional industry, and the modern industry.

There is a relationship between the poems the creation and the metamorphosis because they both focus on explaining the theme of change since the creation of the world. The poem on creation narrates the story of creation and the beginning of the world. For example, there is an argument that God looked and space and found that he was alone and said that he will make up the world. The next period he found that the earth remained full of darkness and God so the necessity of making up light which drew the need for making up other things such as the mountains and animals. At last, God so the need for creating human beings who would play an essential role in taking control of all other things in the universe (Lewalski, 2015). The progress of the story of creation sends the theme of transformation which is discussed by Ovoid in metamorphosis by examining the culture of people in different periods. The two poems also recognize the power of and role of religion and the presence of a supernatural being in explaining the origin and continuity of human life. in metamorphosis, Ovoid explains the existence of a minor Roman god who guided human beings in the development of agriculture and architecture. In the poem creation, there is believe that God remains the supernatural being behind the existence of all activities around the world.
