Globalization has made the world a global village. It has been made possible through the modernization and improvement of technology. Improved technology and modernization have improved how people and business organizations do business. Modernization has improved transportation enabling people to travel to various destinations and conduct business. Globalization also eliminates the boundaries created by national boundaries; enabling businesses increase their customer base and increase their revenue. Distribution of goods and services has also been made easy through improved means of transportation and introduction of systems that ensure free flow of goods across countries with minimal hustle and cost.

Globalization has also impacted on the corporate culture of organizations through various aspects. These include transitional companies that operate in different countries. Different cultures will influence how a company operates as it has people from all backgrounds, ensuring that they are keen and adaptive to the people's culture. Another influencing aspect is international organizations such as the United Nations and the European Union. Such organizations play the role of overseeing activities of countries on various levels, for instance business and political activities (O'Brien &Williams, 2013). The influence of such international organizations will influence the laws of any organization as they set standards and regulations to be followed by firms in a particular industry. Another aspect is the growing transport and communication culture. Globalization of transport and communication has contributed to the development of infrastructure and systems of traveling and communicating for organizations and their customers. Technology has improved how people interact with their customer for instance, and it has given organizations platforms to interact with their customers, such as through social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Online shopping has also been made possible through the invention of systems, sites, and mobile applications.

Globalization has an impact on organizational culture, which includes the training of employees. Every organization needs employees that have the relevant skills relevant to achieving the objectives of the organization. Depending on the potential customers, an organization’s employees may need to be trained on how to deal with customers especially in a situation of transnational companies where employees and customers may be from different cultural backgrounds. Training can be before job training and continuous training while on the job. The internet has made work easier as it can be used to train people and conduct assessment. Distance learning has also enabled people to acquire skills while away from the classroom.

Recruitment and selection of employees have been improved by globalization. Organizations are no longer using the traditional methods of recruitment, but are instead utilizing the internet to recruit their employees. Through globalization also better competitive wages have been introduced (Hauptmann, 2015). As a result of the changing world and increasing needs of people, organizations have been forced to address the amount of salaries they pay to their employees. Globalization has promoted gender equality. Gender equality has been a topic on the world stage for a long time. Globalization has promoted cooperation between women and men in the workplace to ensure equality. Organizations such as the United Nations promote the empowerment of women and, as such, dedication of specific days to celebrate any achievement made and plan for the future.

Globalization also promotes team spirit. With organizations breaking national barriers and boundaries, there is a need to cooperate with people from other countries for a case as transnational organizations where people come from all over. Socio-demographic and cultural factors may be different, but through team spirit and diversity, they are promoted, and an organization can work and achieve its set goals and objectives.

In conclusion, globalization is changing the world of business as well as influencing the corporate cultures of organizations. Some of the benefits of globalization to corporate cultures include team spirit, gender equality, and improved training of employees among others.
