Based on a review of my personal life, there are some signs and symptoms that may be used to depict some form of isolation that may have resulted from past experiences regarding past or present relationships in my life. The first significant symptom that I have experienced recently involves the feeling of emptiness. Emptiness concerns a feeling that results from disconnection with other people and with God. Emptiness is a painful emotion that affects an individual's perception towards other people and life in general (Freeman & Dodson, 2014). The second symptom that I have experienced is panic that results from anxieties that concern different aspects of life. Panic involves overpowering frights and attacks that that arises from lack of having stable bonds between individuals in a given relationship. To overcome the mentioned symptoms, I intend to implement various strategies that may help in dealing with the symptoms. The first significant strategy that may help in dealing with the symptoms involves establishing a proper relationship with God to help in dealing the feeling of emptiness through the provision of hope and assurance of God’s love. The second strategy involves focusing on self-love which a critical factor in that helps in personal acceptance.

On pages 109 – 114, the authors identify 12 skills needed to begin to bond. Choose one or two that you would be willing to work on and talk about how you could begin. Remember that growth takes: grace + truth + time + community.

To enhance the development of bonds in a given relationship, it is necessary to implement some skills that may provide a platform that will enhance interaction with other people in the society. The skills help in overcoming significant barriers that hinder effective bonding in an individual's life based on past experiences in relationships. The bonding skills provide an avenue for having good emotional connections with God and other individuals in the society thus enabling bonding among individuals. To overcome the isolation symptoms in my life, it is necessary to adopt some skills that may guide towards creating positive relationships with other people in a bid to create bonds and understand the importance of such bonds in the lives of individuals in the society.

The first significant skill that will help in dealing with the isolation problems concerns realizing the need to establish strong bonds. Understanding the importance of bonds is a critical element that helps in ensuring that an individual focuses towards implementing strategies that may help in creating strong bonds in a given relationship (Freeman & Dodson, 2014). Additionally, this may help in creating a positive attitude and interest that may lead to sufficient bonding. The second skill that may help in learning how to bond involves moving towards others. Moving towards others help in learning to appreciate other people in the society thus creating an avenue for bonding. Lastly, it is necessary to take risks to learn various ways that may be effective in creating strong bonds in a relationship. Taking risks helps in undertaking something different in a bid to achieve the intended purpose.
