The human race's dependence on an increasing amount of energy could be stated as one of the influences that have pushed the earth’s climate crisis. This is because energy is the fuel, literary, that drives forward human development. It is, therefore, prudent for human beings to understand the interplay between global energy usage and the impact that this has on the earth's climatic condition. Recent studies have indicated that the conditions of climate change would increase the global energy demands by anything from 11% to 58%, depending on the extent of the warming that happens on the earth as a result of climate change, in the next few years (Owusu & Asumadu-Sarkodie, 2016).

These revelations, complicate the dynamics of energy demand, meaning that it is no longer just determined by income levels and the levels of human development, but also with due consideration with the level of climate change that is likely to happen in the next couple of decades. The critical methods through which the energy consumption is going to increase globally is through the increase of cooling during the hot seasons and the increase of heating during the colder seasons, which has a direct impact of total energy consumed globally (Labriet et al., 2015). These dynamics become even more critical to keep track of, considering that energy consumption is the most significant source of greenhouse gas emissions on earth today.

Several considered actions must be taken to mitigate the per capita energy consumption in the globe today. The first step would be to align the global regulatory system to ensure that every country adheres to the requirement of a more energy-efficient future. Secondly, every country ought to accelerate the adoption of efficient energy systems such as appliances that use less energy and the adoption of smart financial systems that incorporate the use of energy incentives (Dirks et al., 2015). Finally, the adoption of energy management systems would ensure the sustainable use of energy amongst all the high-consumption pattern users in any country or region.
