Marital Communication involves the use of both nonverbal and verbal Communication between spouses in a family. The most exciting concept I read was on the use of private Communication between spouses. The idea of a private language is particularly important because it draws an interesting connection between relational development and how couples communicate.
I am of the opinion that Private language to help in shaping the commitment and instill a deeper connection between my spouse and me. It will be the hallmark of our closeness and the uniqueness of our love, and it will be critical in reassuring each other of how meaningful our relationship is.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Use of private language during dating and when married increases commitment between couples, enables them to resolve conflicts constructively and gives both a sense of satisfaction. Private language also enhances spouses' emotional experience and helps bridge the gap between their different personalities and their satisfaction in the relationship (Gonzaga et al., 2007).
Private language plays a critical role in ensuring that couples are intimate. Sharing private nicknames and jokes contributes significantly to marital satisfaction, and couples who use private language are more committed to their relationship (Proyer et al., 2019).
I will take various steps in implementing the use of private language, as discussed in the sources. I will do the first thing to identify what my spouse likes and what she does not like. Getting to know the things she appreciates will help me identify the best suitable nickname for her. That will be my second step. Lastly, I will use her nickname to pass more personal Communication and commitment I have with her. Personal Communication will likely deepen our relationship.
