In the United States, there are different types of ethnic groups, thus require full representation in government and other institutions. Descriptive representation is the act or thought of already elected representatives that act and speak on behalf of those they represented, which in most cases are their race or group. However, it is important to note that a certain candidate's agenda can easily be twisted by descriptive representation, especially on how society sees them.

I believe that congress should be more representative because minorities need to feel a sense of belonging, and their issues need to be addressed. Therefore, if they are more representative, the congress members will represent what their group wants and thus represent their interests hence ensuring a good understanding of the issue at hand. Those represented expect the solution to be better and favor them hence representing their elector even more. This can be easily ensured by ensuring that the voters are well informed and that they have chosen the candidate of their choice and one that they believe is the best representative. This equality will serve as an added advantage since its representation would give both the house and the senate a diverse look.

If more representatives were added into the house with the right intentions and reasons, then it is clear that even if a specific demographic were to be favored, it would not be a threat at all. This will aid in improving the house, and more people would feel represented. The house can be improved by adding diversity by selecting more representatives. It will even encourage innovation and promote diverse ideologies. In terms of the size limit, it would be advisable to limit the size of the house since having more than enough will in one way or the other hinder effectiveness and efficiency of operating as a legislative body.
