The society today should celebrate heroes and heroines who are African-American not only on the month of February but they are people who should be honored and remembered all the through the year. The Black History Month creates a moment for people to look back on African –American slaves, investors, activists, and athletes; it’s a month to acknowledge legendary and brilliance of the African –American race. The late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood to be a great motivational speaker, and his message has an impact on people lives up to date. I would imagine myself as a black child who has been enslaved because this is possibly what would have happened during the 1700s and most likely my forefathers went through that experience. My drive to thinking that was based on my study on the black experience in America. It was the story of people who had been stripped of their Indigenous African cultural identities and their very humanity by a heinous system of racism and slavery. It was the story of people who, in the midst of brutal oppression, never ceased resisting nor did they lose their connection to their homeland as they developed a unique identity and culture around the African diaspora.
When we look at President Barrack Obama, he went into the presidential race with the inspiration to change the manner in which America was working enhance the American lifestyle and get everybody to see the unlimited open doors holding up to be taken by growing information, well-being and sensitivity of the Americans.
