I have delivered a well-organized speech on why it is not essential to keep exotic animals as pets. There are, however, some opportunities for me to improve my speech. I should have pointed on some benefits of keeping exotic animals as pets and refute the reasoning behind the benefits of keeping exotic animals as pets. Domesticated exotic animals may have many significant benefits. Some exotic animals could offer protection by scaring away strangers or animals that could harm life, securing the lives of people in a family, and saving lives.
I provided an explanation that wild animals can be more dangerous than domesticated animals in my speech. On this, I also believe the domestic animals can be equally harmful as exotic animals kept as pets. Animals have close similarities and characteristics, whether exotic, domesticated pets. Any animal can turn violent and can result in loses at homes. On my point that exotic animals can transmit diseases to human beings there is a need more justification. Domesticated pets are kept under strict vaccination guidelines. When exotic animals are kept as pets, they should undergo the regular vaccination patterns just as the domesticated ones undergo. When a pet is not vaccinated, whether exotic or domesticated, they can transmit diseases to human beings. Some of the pets used in many parts of the world today were previously exotic. The process of domestication happened gradually (Whitehead, 2016).

Today there are many varieties of pet dogs kept in many parts of the world. There could be probably some exotic pets which are not domesticated but can be more productive at homes than the current domesticated pets. I can improve my speech and make it more effective by considering both sides of the arguments and refuting the claims I do not support. This speech could generate some critical questions from the discussion above.
