Learning is important since no one in the society was born with the ability to function in a competent way, however, people develop significant competencies through various experiences as they grow. Learning requires motivation, whether it is a teacher helping students to learn or students trying to learn something, there is, therefore, need to develop motivation strategies that will help to motivate learning ( ANN et al., 2018 ). Motivation is of importance to everyone for it establishes the presence of purpose and desire to achieve career, daily life, and business goals. Motivation moves students to learn and it triggers the quantity and quality of effort they invest in their learning. This analysis aims at identifying motivational strategies in learning to date and explaining how they are practiced by adult learners in several learning environments.
Learning is a step by step development having learned from experience where we learn new theories in every level. Today's learning is very interesting in that learners specialize in fields of their interest. During this adult learning process, however, there must be motivational strategies involved to make it interesting. Some of those strategies include; the use of collaborative and cooperative learning atmosphere ( Alario-Hoyos et al., 2017 ). This invites adult learners to assess their experience by engaging in dialogue and allow their history to give applicable meaning to specific academic knowledge. Second, is helping learners effectively attribute their success to their effort, capability, and knowledge. This can be done by eradicating learners’ anxieties towards failure, inadequate feedback and hence promoting a positive attitude toward goal achievement.

The use of models to demonstrate expected learning outcomes, for instance, using models in an online environment is more interesting and easiest way to make the point understandable. Another strategy is helping learners understand and plan for the amount of time they need for successful learning ( Drysdale & McBeath, 2018 ). This mostly applies to the F2F environment where a teacher has to make sure a given subject is covered on a certain duration or say an exam. Lastly, inspiring confidence which is accomplished by helping students see the line of success at their knowledge according to their values of great necessity. This is experienced in all learning environments.
From the above, it is clear that motivation strategies play a greater role in influencing the way of learning. Motivation establishes the purpose and desire to achieve learning goals. Motivation in the adult learning process makes it interesting, for instance, use of collaborative and cooperative learning atmosphere invites adult learners, assesses their experience by engaging in dialogue and allow their history give applicable meaning to specific academic knowledge.
