The contemporary business environment is very dynamic. Thus, business organizations have to be flexible and quick in reacting to both internal and external factors. The HR professional is responsible for making a successful HR transformation using various strategies, techniques, and tools to ensure that the company gains and maintains a competitive advantage over their competitors. As an HR professional, I would prepare my company for HR transformation by considering four crucial steps. The first step would be to formulate a strategic plan for the company that would provide an outline for the HR system as well as the criteria for effectiveness. This strategy should anticipate what the customer will demand and the best way to solve the customer problem (Ulrich and Dulebohn, 2015). The second step would be an assessment of the implementation of the strategy by determining any deviation from the expected standards. Then I would analyze how to align the variation to the predicted outcome by investing in mechanisms that will improve the HR function. Finally, I would ensure that I make a close follow-up on the whole transformation process by providing that the arrangements put in place have a positive impact on the company.

HR transformation is a complicated process that will involve challenges that will come along (Reilly and Williams, 2016). I see several problems that I would encounter as I transform my company, including physical and emotional stability of employees, training, compensation, and development. Initiating transformation in the company will require preparation of the employees to ensure that they meet specific standards as outlined in the strategic plan. Investing in mechanisms to improve the HR function in the company may require a lot of funds; hence, this would cause an economic strain in the company. However, as a competent HR professional, I should consider all the anticipated challenges in the execution of the transformation and formulate ways to deal with them amicably.
