The music industry has undergone lots of transformation since the time of colonization. The fundamental root of all the music we listen to today was in the culture of different groups of people. It is a fact that music has been a useful instrument of communication and entertainment in almost all cultures thus describing its importance in its incorporation in culture. In fact, music all the way from old times had cultural syncretism deeply embedded in all the lyrics and rhythms.
The Calenda Maia music of western European music roots is unique and different from what we perceive as western European music of the current days. The pace of the music is a unique combination of violins, guitar, and string piano and line Ocarina. These were essential instruments in their culture and uniquely identified their music. The western African root is jazz music. This has been the kind of music that has always identified most African cultures. Jazz, for instance, is a traditional music among the Nigerian and the entire West Africa as a whole (Burnim & Maultsby, 2014). The Iberian root, on the other hand, sounded most of the Arabic origin. The evolution of the music industry has led to a few changes in the cultural heritages in this music.

This entire music genre had natural harmonic series. The banjo instrument has its popularity mainly in the western roots. However, it seems as though it is infused even in the Western Europe music. The western European and Iberian roots have a similar temperament and diatonic harmony. The rhythm in the Western African roots sounds a little bit different from the Iberian and Western European music roots. This is because the music originated from the African culture and most time they developed beats that would express their frustrations or numb the pains they felt in the hands of the colonists.
Playlist B comprises of African-American music. The first hearing of this playlist sounds somehow confusing making it difficult to place the culture in which the music is based. However, with clear and proper analysis, it becomes evident that it is a conglomeration of both the cultural heritages combined in such a manner that only the best instrumental sounds. Vigorous beats in the African music has been discarded to make the two sounds more beautiful (Burnim & Maultsby, 2014). Moreover, cultural syncretism still exists in this new combination, and it makes the music even more enjoyable to the ears. Though it took time, finally we became Afro-Americans in our cultures and music
