According to, theology has been defined as a discipline that tries to provide a logical statement of Christian faith doctrines based on scriptures that are placed within the cultural context, worded within a modern-day phrase and even correlated to life’s challenges (Etzel & Ben, 2015). The foundation of Theology is simply the study of God and His work. From the Bible, we learn that God is an active being; therefore, theology also focuses on the understanding of the God’s creation and His redemptive works about humankind. The Bible is the primary source of all knowledge focusing on the concept of God, therefore, as Christian, we should read the Bible to understand the will of God and strengthen our faiths.
Christian faith doctrines can be said to be clearly founded on the scripture which is the Bible. The theological concept identified above can be found within scriptures and traced throughout the Bible (Etzel & Ben, 2015). We can say that the Bible is a resourceful book textbook and place greater importance on the principle of Christian faith. For instance, God states that “I want you to know” (I Cor. 11:3; Col. 2:1). It just implies that God provided the scripture to humankind for them to know particular imperative things that will make us Know Him better and even bring us closer to Him (I John 5:13). However, it is sad to understand that contemporary Christians have not tried as much to read the Bible and core doctrines of Christian faith. Theology is practical in nature where it is much related to living by faith. According to Etzel & Ben, (2015), faith is critical to Christians because it aids them with their reasonable apprehension. It is important that theology is concerned with the concept of the realistic magnitude to ensure that as Christians we lead an upright life. Application of this concept of theology is thus necessary and should be one of the primary aspect defining Christians in their day to day lives (Etzel & Ben, 2015).

Christian faith principles as a fundamental concept in theology can be applied in our life and sphere of influence. For instance, for one to be a real disciple then he or she must be a good teacher. Therefore, one should read, learn and understand the scripture on Christian beliefs and then apply it to other people with the aim of converting them to Christianity. Based on (Cor. 8:2), the scripture states that “He must admit that he does not know certain things.” This implies that theology school is one of the distinct schools that nobody can ever finally graduate since there is still too much to learn as a Christian (Etzel & Ben, 2015). The truth of theology influences my day to day life where I have to live as required by the Bible by always doing what is right. God want us as Christians to learn enough so that we can become a good teacher to other people who will, in turn, be equipped with essential information to teach others (2 Tim. 2:2).
According to Etzel & Ben, (2015), the theology concept will thus enable us to teach our children, the converts and at the same time answer potential objections from the unbelievers. As Christian, we should lead an upright life to be emulated by other people. To some extent, this might also attract the unbelievers to join into Christianity as the influence by the way you live. As a Christian, we ought to hunger to learn more about the Bible just like a new baby hunger and thirst for the mother’s milk (I Pet. 2:2).
