Section A
One of the significant concepts learned from the training is Motivational Interviewing (MI). The concept involves the assisting of parents to enable them be their own agents of change. This concept is a client- centered directive counseling style that elicits behavioral change by assisting parents to resolve and explore ambivalence. Thus, the resolution and evaluation of ambivalence is its main objective, and the counselor intentionally directs to achieve this goal. Motivational interviewing, therefore, provoke inspiration in parents to enable them rectify certain negative traits.
Section B
The most actionable takeaway point learned from the training module involves the adoption of professional ethics in decision making. Ideally, professional ethics are the codes of principles that guide the actions taken by healthcare experts based on informed decisions and best standards. I specifically noted four ethical principles that encompass autonomy, justice, no malfeasance, and Beneficence. Autonomy refers to the respect for clients’ own choice of care while justice involves the equal distribution of care benefits and burdens across the entire society. On the other hand, beneficence deals with the provision of best care to patients whereas no malfeasance ensures the avoidance of any actions that can harm the patient. Professional ethics are, therefore, very significant because they not only benefit healthcare professionals but also the clients. Consequently, professional ethics act as guiding platforms when engaging in effective ethical decision making.

Section C
I would apply professional ethics in daily to day activities by relying upon them to act in a manner that doesn’t harm others. This rule is the basic elementary rule of professional ethics in everyday life. By so doing, I would be making the lives of other people easier. For instance, I can integrate professional ethics in practical motivational interviewing sessions to enhance their effectiveness.
