Racism acts are contrary to the ideals of Americans and the constitutional statute of social fairness. In 2014, there was a long deliberation where a grand jury in Missouri reached a decision not to indict an American police officer for gunning down a young black man. The decision was based on the evaluation of the evidence that felt there was no enough evidence to substantiate the police negligently gunned down the man conclusively. Before the grand jury, the media outlets in the United States reported consistently that the officer might have acted on racial grounds and thus killing the man. Various reports from media implied accusations of racism and brutality of the police, and there was little news to counter the claims. It is a biased media reporting that appears to be the trend in the United States and because of the biases; many legal experts were astonished by the quality of the grand jury not to indict even when there was a lot of pressure. There had been stories that the man had been gunned down even when he raised his hands in a sign of surrender.
