Formed in 1945 after chaos witnessed in World War 2, the UN mission is to ensure international peace as well as security. The issue of sovereignty for member states is strategically dealt with by the UN. The definition of humanitarian intervention and when it is needed is one of the well-crafted aspects that allow member states to understand the need for UN intervention. Besides, in all member states, sovereignty is not an absolute concept. This is because some leaders have previously used the concept to direct atrocities that call for outside intervention to its citizens.
