Values are critical in life as they act as the path through which people get to the right direction or toward their goals. For any decision a person makes, he or she tends to anchor such choices in a belief that people draws from a specific source in the course of life. As a person grows up and gets to interact with people and environment, he or she tends to understand people and the nature of the surrounding and draw from them some beliefs that end up modifying what drives such a person towards success or failure in life. Such beliefs are what are called the core values or principle in life. Choosing the right value is critical as it is the source of happiness and stress-free life. In my case, the value of integrity, respect, and love drives my life.

Integrity is essential to me because through integrity, and I believe the world can be a better place for all people. The world is toxic because people tend to jeopardize their level of integrity. It is because of inadequate integrity in the world that scandals such as corruption, misappropriation of the public funds, poverty, and diseases are killing this planet. To me, integrity is being truthful with every action I undertake. I tend to ensure that I remain transparent so that I gain trust from my parents, my colleague, and every person I tend to interact within the course of my life. I also consider integrity as an act of being responsible for my actions. I do not run away after making a mistake or a decision that seems to be had to swallow. Contrary, I believe in standing to it so that I can be responsible for any outcome. I also understand the integrity and take it as being dependable and just with all people and my actions. A less reliable person has no integrity to me because it would be difficult to trust such a person. To me, honesty is also the level of commitments I make to ensure that I remain transparent, truthful, and reliable to all people who I tend to share my ideas within my life. The virtue of integrity in my life did not come as an incident or coincidence. It was a virtue that was coined in me by my mother. She was the source of integrity. I had a mother who was always emphasizing on integrity. She was always transparent and urged me to embrace such a virtue for me to be trustable and be the right person in life. Luckily, I understood her, and this became part of my life till to date.

I believe in respect as my fundamental value in life. With respect, people could move mountains and also achieve many things regarded as impossible. Unfortunately, racism, discrimination, and unjust action are chocking the world. Respect is the only solution I believe should be core to every person for justice, racism, and discrimination to be over in the world. I regard respect as the act of appreciating any effort made by any person, which is critical, especially in teamwork. I have seen a lot of success by appreciating people's efforts. People tend to put more effort when they feel recognized and appreciated. Further, I regard respect as understanding people's position and cherishing their views. To me, respect come with the ability to understand a person based on his or her capabilities rather than the nature of that particular person. I believe that this is the right direction and the right lens to view people in the world. Under such a lens, discrimination cannot overwhelm the world. The value respect was coined in me by teachers in school. In the school where I got an opportunity to spend my education life, respect was always the theme, and it downed in me and has refused to leave my system until the present day.

Finally, Peace is a critical value in my life because I believe that through peace, we can build a society that is better for all people. The world has torn apart on many occasions because people tend to ignore the value of peace. Peace, to me, means harmony with each other in society. It means unity and commitment to tranquility. I also mean a commitment to suzerainty, and it is the only path to success. Through peaceful coexistence with my classmate, for instance, I was able to be helped by them to pass my examinations in all level of my education. Through peace with my parents, I was able to be brought up in harmony and be taught critical virtues that are important in life. The same way, I believe that a world can be better with peace than with conflicts. My church leader was the source of peace as a value in my life. My church leader used to emphasize peace concerning tourist attacks that took American with a storm in the September 11 th incident. Since then, peace is always my core value in life.

In conclusion, I still believe that peace, integrity, and respect are the drivers in my life. I always measure my decisions about the scale of peace, respect, and integrity and only act on them if they meet the threshold of these three pillars in my life. I also believe that the world could be a better place if these three pillars would be considered important in people's lives.
