I attempted using reverse outlining in the following piece of work as guided by the YouTube video titled “Reverse outlining” by Tamu writing center.
In conclusion, death is inescapable but adjusting can be difficult . Healing for some families after the death of their loved ones can take a long time but for others, the recovery process can only be ephemeral. Nonetheless, families can adjust by speaking out, staying together, and in some cases, seeking professional help . The overriding measure is for individual family members to avoid isolation or loneliness. Traumatic or feelings of depression can be evoked when individuals are unaccompanied . However, when families stay together and share their experiences, they could heal better. The congruence maintained during the mourning process could also prove vital in the healing and recovery process . Although a family member may have been lost, families could build stronger bonds with the available members and in the process, adjust better .

Reverse outlining was particularly useful in picking the main points from the reading. The paragraph was a conclusion of an essay that sought to answer the question concerning whether it is possible for bereaved families to adjust to loss of loved ones. Using reverse outlining, the main points picked establish that families can adjust by talking to one another, staying together, and seeking professional help, and therefore, it is possible for bereaved families to adjust. The use of reverse outlining helped to understand the paragraph better and fast.
