To encourage families to participate regularly in creating a culturally responsive environment throughout the year, teachers can involve them in making of school decisions, and especially regarding the development of children and their education (Goodman & Hooks, 2016). Teachers can decide to conduct interviews between learners and their families to know their talents, interests and roles in communities and homes, and languages they prefer using in communicating. Furthermore, families can be involved by conducting home visits, which will enable the teachers to know what influences students in their lives. By observing the way families live and care for each other will enable teachers to know what to include I the academic environments (Goodman & Hooks, 2016).

Teachers can use school subjects and programs to ensure all cultures are promoted and embraced. They can engage families through inviting them in school decision making, that mostly focus on children development.
