What Is Identity in My Opinion?

What is an identity? Many people claim you’re born with it, others say that your identity forms through experiences. To me my identity are the beliefs that I abide by. I have always focused on doing better as a person, not just as a student. Patience is my biggest attribute which put me in direct control of myself which led to positive led to positive influence in my life. For example being transferred from three different schools took a lot of patience to get through. In the end I finally found myself and started to enjoy the different environments. Another attribute to my identity is my “headscarf” you might say, view it not as a weakness but it has encouraged a lot of empowerment in my life. I have worn it through the heat of the summer and through the freezing cold of the winter and regardless of the stares i get it made me into the person I am today, and it takes a lot of determination. My struggles in life have made me into a stronger person. Modesty is another attribute to my identity, it means purity to me. The way I act, speak and dress reflects the person I am. Modesty protects the mystery of a person and allows people to see only positive traits. Another attribute that forms my identity is that I have a calm demeanor and I do not easily lose my temper. I always maintain calmness even in stressful situations and this is a trait that will be helpful in my career because I will encounter offenders and complainant who might be bitter or stressed and I need to be calm in order to deliver justice. 

Similarly I am a person of high integrity and always follow ethics in regard to any situation. It is a trait that has made me to not only be a law abiding citizen but also staying away from trouble. It is a trait that is essential in criminal justice because it helps in ensuring that fairness is served to all the people and this way injustice will never be the case on my path during my career. Additionally, the experience I have gone through regarding several transfers form one school to another has enabled me to understand the changing mature of issues and circumstances and this will be helpful in my career because it has exposed to me different people and how to handle them in different circumstances. I also have great leadership skills which will help me in guiding and assisting the recovering offenders to be good people in the society.
